Luis Cerritos of Royal Canadian Mounted Police
Organizations need to develop "a friendly business relationship" with law enforcement so they can promptly share information about a data breach to help with the investigation, says Luis Cerritos of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
In a video interview at Information Security Media Group's recent Toronto Fraud and Breach Prevention Summit 2017, Cerritos discusses:
- How the relationship between private entities and law enforcement has evolved;
- What information law enforcement needs to conduct an investigation;
- Why banks, regulators, law enforcement and breached organizations need to collaborate.
Cerritos is national coordinator, integrated market enforcement teams, at the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. A 22-year police veteran, Cerritos is responsible for collaborating with key domestic and international stakeholders to strengthen the collective capacity to prevent, disrupt and investigate financial market misconduct.
