In the wake of Russian hacks and attempted attacks against political groups and parties throughout the world, such as the attack against the U.S.'s Democratic National Committee, we have to ask ourselves how cybersecurity, or a lack thereof, will impact politics, policies and business today and into the future. Attacks waged by rogue governments and nation states are nothing new; but as the lines continually blur between cybercriminals and those who wage cyberespionage attacks, it's become increasingly critical for public and private sector entities to not only change how they defend themselves against cyber-attacks, but also how they look for cyber-attacks and evaluate their purpose. In this keynote address, Dr. Ed Amoroso, former Senior Vice President and CISO at AT&T, will address how cybersecurity should be addressed in America, to ensure protection of critical infrastructure, among other things, from cyber-attacks. Dr. Amoroso spent more than three decades in cybersecurity for AT&T before launching his own consultancy, TAG Cyber. Over the course of his cyber career, he has written and published seven books about cybersecurity and now teaches and consults about cybersecurity, covering a broad range of topics, from global election hacking to artificial intelligence.
